The Reverend J. Randolph Alexander, Jr. has been elected the Bishop of Florida

Dear Friends in Christ,

On this difficult day, the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, I would like to share some good news. Our dear friend, my immediate predecessor, and former rector of the Parish of Christ the Redeemer, Fr. Randy Alexander, has just been elected Bishop of Florida. The Diocese of Florida held its election today at their annual convention which takes place this year on September 11-12. Fr. Randy will serve as the ninth Bishop of Florida, pending consents of the dioceses of the Episcopal Church. Please keep Randy and his wife Patty and three sons in your prayers as they begin this transition and as he starts this new ministry. 

Almighty God, the giver of all good gifts: Give your grace, we humbly pray, to Fr. Randy Alexander who is now called to serve as the Bishop of Florida; and so fill him with the truth of your doctrine and clothe him with holiness of life, that he may faithfully serve before you, to the glory of your great Name and for the benefit of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
