9-11 Requiem MassOur annual Requiem Mass for September 11, 2001, will be offered this evening at 5:15pm in the Church. Our prayers are offered today for all of those whose lives were taken on September 11, 2001, especially Montgomery Hord, a member of this parish, and Michael Boccardi, Thomas E. Hynes, Joseph Leavey, Robert McLaughlin, Amy O’Doherty, Joseph Shea, Daniel J. Shea, Robert Scandole and Michael Tamuccio, the Pelham community members who lost their lives during the attacks. We pray for all who were killed, for all who lost family members and friends, for all who were injured, and for all who were traumatized in body or mind. Gracious and merciful God, on this twenty-fifth anniversary of September 11, we remember before thee those whose lives were taken, those who sacrificed themselves in service, and all whose lives were forever changed. Receive the departed into thine eternal embrace, and comfort those who still bear the wounds of grief, loss, and trauma. We give thee thanks for the courage and compassion which arose amid devastation, when strangers became neighbors and fear was met with love. Turn our hearts toward the work thou hast given us: to confront hatred, to resist violence, to welcome the stranger, to seek justice, and to make peace. By thy Holy Spirit, renew thy Church and awaken us to our baptismal calling to seek Christ in every person and to respect the dignity of every human being. Grant that our memory may become moral courage, our grief may become compassion, and our hope may become action. Make us instruments of thy peace; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen. |

Ministry FairCome to the Christ Church Pelham Parish Ministry Fair on Sunday, September 13th, after the 8:00 and 10:00 Liturgies ... in Hoag Hall, combined with Coffee Hour. Our Parish Ministry Fair is an informative community event at which we will showcase our active groups, committees, and volunteer programs. The Ministry Fair will feature interactive booths all around the hall at which information about parish groups will be available from members of that group. There will be sign-up sheets and the opportunity to ask questions. Each group is also welcome bring refreshments.... ( coffee ,tea etc will be provided by the parish.) This is an opportunity to meet the leaders, members and volunteers. We see this as an opportunity for all parishoners to use their gifts as a part of the many ministries in our Christ Church Parish Family. Each organization is invited to Prepare, Decorate and Attend to your booth/table.... the more creative the better. There will be a prize for the most creative booth! Artist of the Month: Dorothy CancellieriMEET THE ARTIST - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2026, from 11:00-1:00 PM. Emotions and Imagination are expressed through a kaleidoscope of color in Dorothy’s artwork. The use of vibrant paints has always enriched her and left her with a feeling of peaceful happiness. Bold colors can’t help but capture the viewer when they enter a room. The figures, animals and landscapes come alive through the excitement and passion of color. The vividness of the canvases helps convey the story, meaning and emotion of the paintings. Ms. Cancellieri has taught art and yoga enrichment programs in elementary schools throughout Westchester County. She has been a member of the Mamaroneck Artist’s Guild since 1988. Her Works have been shown in numerous exhibits including the Upstream Gallery in Dobbs Ferry and the Brother Chapman Gallery at Iona College. |
