I'm New

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! Christ Church is the Episcopal Church in Pelham, New York.  Our parish members come from Pelham, New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, the Bronx, and other parts of Westchester County in New York. The Episcopal Church is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, the third largest Christian denomination in the world. 

What are services like?

We have several services each week all following the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. On Sundays we offer the Holy Eucharist (also called Mass or Holy Communion) at 8am and 10am - please note that Easter Day has a special schedule). The 8am lasts 45 minutes and uses thee/thy language. The 10am lasts a little more than an hour and includes organ and piano music, congregational hymns, and (from September-June) choral music by our excellent choir.  Sunday School (during the academic year) and Nursery Care are offered each Sunday at 10am. Christ Church also celebrates numerous Holy Days throughout the year (Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Easter, Ascension Day, etc.) and those days have special schedules.

Every service is followed by Coffee Hour or some other reception where you can meet people and learn more about the church.

What about my children?

Children are welcome at all services!! Nursery care is provided for parents who wish to use it (not required!) during the 10am service each week. Sunday School meets weekly during the academic year at 10am - the children enter for the second half of the Eucharist for Holy Communion.

What about parking?

There is plenty of parking in our two lots and also on Pelhamdale Avenue.
