Marie Main, our beloved Parish Administrator, will retire on May 31, 2026. 

Marie has served as our Parish Administrator for fourteen years and has been a constant source of knowledge and kindness. She brings pastoral and graceful dedication to everything she does for Christ Church. She is wonderful, and we will greatly miss having her in the office each day. She will remain an active parishioner at Christ Church in retirement.

Mark your calendars for 11:15am, Sunday, May 31, when we will have a wonderful celebration for Marie.

Please give a warm welcome to Marika Andersson! Marika will begin as our new Parish Administrator on June 1, following Marie Main's retirement on May 31.

Marika will be the operational backbone of our parish office, handling everything from daily communications and calendar coordination to supporting our day-to-day parish administration and operations.

Prior to joining Christ Church, Marika spent nearly four years at the Church of the Heavenly Rest in Manhattan. There, she spearheaded strategic income and space rental initiatives that directly supported church missions, successfully driving community partnerships and providing financial reporting to the Executive Committee. Her professional background also includes extensive experience in business operations and staff leadership within the wellness industry.

Marika earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Business/Corporate Communications from Baruch College. Known for her strategic planning, organizational leadership, and warm demeanor, she is eager to bring her skills to the Christ Church Pelham congregation.

When she isn't in the office, she is usually busy being a soccer mom, cheering on her son and his team on a field somewhere throughout New York City. 

Please feel free to pop into the parish office in June to say hello, introduce yourself, or just share your favorite local spot with Marika.

As we welcome Marika into this essential ministry, we also give heartfelt thanks to Marie Main, whose faithful service, dedication, and care for the life of Christ Church have blessed our parish community in countless ways over the past fourteen years. I'm writing to share with you a staff transition at Christ Church. Liam Myers, our Director of Children & Family Ministry for the past year, will step down at the end May. Liam recently started a new full-time position as the Program Coordinator at Mariandale Retreat Center.

From Liam: “I have really enjoyed getting to know and work with you all - and especially to be able to accompany our children and families in their relationship with God. I will still plan to come by Christ Church and to stay connected as I'm able. A highlight for me every week has been our circle on Sunday AM - to hear and share with one another about the movements in our lives. See you soon!”

It has been a pleasure having Liam on staff this past year, and he will be missed. He was a great help with our Sunday School and Confirmation Class. Liam’s last Sunday with us will be May 31. Please join me in wishing Liam a fond farewell and blessings on this next chapter in his life.
