The Giving Tree for the Animals
The Outreach Committee’s 2025 Giving Tree is now decorated and is located in Hoag Hall.
This year, we are requesting donations to benefit shelter and pet-rescue cats and dogs. Food insecurity continues to be problematic in this country and far too many beloved pets have been surrendered into the shelter/pet rescue system, as parents have to choose between feeding their children and themselves, paying for housing, utilities, schooling, transportation, and clothing. At Christmastime, making the decision to give up a family pet must be agonizing.
We’re again asking for your help this Christmastime – with our sincere thanks.
Please consider donating and placing your gift under the Giving Tree:
- Dry and wet food for both cats and dogs, including specialized diet food, puppy/kitten formula, and treats.
- Stainless steel or ceramic feeding/water bowls.
- Grooming supplies – nail clippers; towels; brushes, pet shampoo.
- Medical and nursing supplies – heating pads; bandages; gauze; nursing bottles; clear Pedialyte.
- Bedding, blankets, crates and carriers.
- Litter boxes, cat litter and wee-wee pads.
- Toys, collars and leashes.
- Chewy, PetSmart, or Amazon gift cards.
