“Gilead” is the 2005 Pulitzer Prize winning novel by author Marilynn Robinson. A moving and inspiring story, it takes the form of a letter written in 1956 by an aging minister to the young son he has had late in life. A descendant of an abolitionist and a pacifist, Reverend Ames reflects on his own solitary past, his marriage to the boy’s young mother, and the joy he finds in life.

“Gilead” is 250 pages long and can be found in libraries and on Amazon for $10.50.

Please join us on the evening of Thursday, February 13 for a relaxed discussion and light refreshments. We will meet at 7 pm at the home of Margaret Young
