 eautiful and spiritual parts of the Anglican Tradition. Our full Parish Ch
 oir will sing Evensong\, and our preacher will be the Rev. Christian Wood\
 , Rector of Saint John’s Church\, Tampa\, Florida. Father Wood is Fr. Ma
 tt’s cousin-in-law\, and he is also on staff with Fr. Matt at the Saint 
 Michael’s Youth Conference each summer. \nEvensong is a sung service of
  Evening Prayer. Evensong has been offered for nearly 600 years in Anglica
 n and Episcopal cathedrals\, city churches\, and country parishes around t
 he world. The format for Anglican Evensong can be traced directly to the f
 irst Book of Common Prayer and Archbishop Thomas Cranmer who crafted it fr
 om the smaller monastic offices that had been in use before the Reformatio
 n. Evensong is often offered on Sundays or Holy Days.\nMichaelmas (rhymes 
 with “nickel” and pronounced like “Christmas”) is the traditional 
 English name for the feast day of Saint Michael and All Angels\, observed 
 on September 29.
