The Annunciation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Virgin Mary is celebrated nine months before Christmas, and it is the first feast day in the annual Christmas cycle, which includes the Season of Advent, the Twelve Days of Christmas, The Holy Name of Jesus on January 1, and the Presentation (aka Candlemas) on February 2.  The Annunicatioin is normally celebrated on March 25.  When March 25 falls in Holy Week or Easter Week, the Annunciation is transferred to the Monday after Easter Week.
