CHILDREN’S CHOIR
Our Children’s Choir has not been active since the pandemic – photos on this page are from 2019. In the past our Children’s Choir program has offered children an opportunity to participate in the liturgical and music ministries at Christ Church, and children learn musical skills that aid in their intellectual development and deepen their friendships with other children in the parish and community in a structured, safe and fun environment. Rebuilding our Children’s Choir is a priority in 2024.
Our Children’s Choir program ran from September through June. The Children’s Choir involved children in First through the Eighth Grades. The Children’s Choir rehearsed on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm. The Children’s Choir sang anthems or other musical pieces on Christmas, Easter, other Holy Days, and at the Christmas Pageant.
Our choral program emphasizes music from the great Western tradition of choral music for the church with occasional forays into repertoire from around the world.
REGISTER/VOLUNTEER
All children who participate in our Children’s Choir must register in advance. Parents/guardians are invited and encouraged to help – as their schedules permit – to assist as choir parents. Please contact Jeffrey Hoffman for any questions or to register/volunteer.
