GIVING & VOLUNTEERING

Christ Church is supported by the generosity of members and friends who donate time, talent, and money to the church to ensure that it is open, staffed, safe, and active.  God has given each of us many gifts and we are called to use them to build up the church and to show the spread the love of God to our community.

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

LEARN MORE ABOUT DONATING & GIVING

Christ Church is the place where Episcopalians in Pelham and the surrounding communities gather as the Body of Christ.  The Church is where our children are baptized and confirmed, it is where we are married, it where we plan and practice ministry and use the gifts that God has given us, it is where we gather in times of trial or grief, and it is where many generations of faithful members of Christ Church are buried. Your monetary gifts and support keep our building open, staffed, and active.  We ask all our members to make a financial pledge to support Christ Church each year.  We also ask our members to consider keeping the church in their wills or make financial bequests to the church. Please explore the different financial ways that you can support Christ Church.  Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated.

LEARN MORE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING / MINISTRY

The ministers of the Church are lay persons, bishops, priests, and deacons.  The ministry of lay persons is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given them, to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the
Church.  There are many ways to volunteer your time and talent – some of the important gifts that God has given each of us – at Christ Church.  Please explore our ministries, many of which are listed below.  If you are interested in volunteering, please connect with the ministry leader.  Please feel free to contact Father Matt our Rector if you have any questions or if you want to get involved in any way lot listed.
